How to get the most out of Air Codes
Install on your home screen
Add to Home Screen
Install Air Codes like a native app: its own icon, full screen, no browser bars

Open aircodes.sk in Safari
Tap the ••• button next to the address bar

Tap Share
In the menu that opens

Add to Home Screen
Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen

Tap Add
Keep Open as Web App switched on, then tap Add
💡Do you see the Share button right in the toolbar? Then you can tap it directly and skip step 1 (older iOS, or the Bottom / Top tab layout in Safari settings).
Chrome on iPhone and iPad

Open aircodes.sk in Chrome
Tap the Share icon in the address bar

Add to Home Screen
Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen

Tap Add
Air Codes now appears on your home screen
💡No Share icon in the address bar? Tap ••• and choose Share there.
Chrome on Android phones and tablets

Open aircodes.sk in Chrome
Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right

Add to home screen
Tap Add to home screen (on some phones it is called Install app)

Tap Install
Air Codes now appears on your home screen and in the app list
💡Chrome sometimes offers Install by itself in a bar at the bottom of the screen – you can tap that too.
Your account
Create an account
Sign up with your email and a password. We send you an activation email – open the link in it to finish.
Sign in with Google
Tap Continue with Google on the sign-in page. No new password needed.
Stay signed in
Once you sign in, Air Codes remembers you on that device until you sign out.
Favourites and full access
With an account you can save airports, airlines and accidents to your favourites. Unlocking a section gives you all its details; you can see your plan in your profile.
Offline data
Download data for offline use
With a paid plan you can store Airports, Airlines and Accidents on your device and browse them without internet.
- Open your profile
- Tap Store Offline
- Keep the app open until the download is finished
Sign in on a plane
Sign in once while you are online. After that you can sign in on the same device without internet – even after signing out.
💡Download again from time to time to get the newest data. Offline data stays only on the device where you downloaded it.
Stay up to date
Notifications
Allow notifications when Air Codes asks, and you will get news alerts. On iPhone this works in the app added to your Home Screen.
Daily newsletter
Sign up on the sign-in page and once a day you get the latest aviation news by email.

News
The latest aviation news as a list or a grid, with a Photo of the Day. Like, comment and open any story.
Airport detail
ICAO and IATA codes, elevation, local time, live weather (METAR / TAF), runways with a layout compass, a map, photos and nearby airports.
Airline detail
ICAO and IATA codes, callsign, status, fleet size, destinations, hubs, headquarters with local time, key people and the website.
Accident detail
Date, aircraft, operator and route, people on board with fatalities and survivors, the crash site on a map, and other accidents on the same day, nearby and in the same country.
Flights
Look up a flight to see its status, route and times.
Tap the ☆ star on any detail page to save it to your favourites, and use ‹ › to move to the previous or next one.
